The mid-summer August Bank Holiday weekend is one of the best few days in London's calendar, with the typical heatwave syncing with parties and festivals throughout the city.

London's August Bank Holiday has become synonymous with one huge event for as long as we care to remember - Notting Hill Carnival. If you've not been it's absolutely worth visiting, and what's more - it's free to get in, and with immense sound systems, glorious food and positive vibrations wherever you are, Notting Hill Carnival is one of the highlights of the city's cultural calendar.
